New Voyage on the Maritime Silk Road - China Huaxin Signs MOUs with Two Indonesian Communications Companies

On February 16-17, China Huaxin signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PT Mora Telematika Indonesia, Tbk ("Moratel") and PT Solusi Sinergi Digital, Tbk ("Surge") in Jakarta, Indonesia. Michael McPhail, CTO of Moratel; Hermansjah Haryono, CEO of Surge; Tang Hui, Vice president of China Huaxin and General Manager of Sales and Service Platform, and Gui ChengBing, Senior vice president of Sales and Service Platform, attended the signing ceremony.

 

China Huaxin and the two companies will reach preliminary cooperation intentions on construction solutions, business models and financing support in various fields such as backbone optical transmission network, fiber-to-the-home (FTTH), 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) and smart city, which means China Huaxin has taken another solid step towards developing the Southeast Asian communication market.

 

Moratel is a company that provides telecom infrastructure and telecom network services. According to the MOU, China Huaxin will leverage its experience and capabilities in optical transmission network construction, fixed-line broadband access, network optimization and financing to provide competitive technical solutions for Moratel's FTTH project and Moratel's national backbone transmission network project, helping Moratel's network construction and innovative business development. The signing will lead to an initial US$50 million project cooperation between the two parties.

Surge is a multi-business enterprise providing communication services, data network rental services, entertainment and media. The two parties intend to cooperate extensively in the fields of 5G FWA, indoor coverage and WiFi network construction, low voltage system integration in transportation, and smart industrial park.

Currently, Indonesia's economy is moving into the digital era. In response to President Xi Jinping's initiative to jointly build the 21st century "Maritime Silk Road" in Indonesia, and to better serve the Indonesian government's national digitalization strategy, China Huaxin is actively engaged in supporting the Indonesian market, hoping that through cooperation with Moratel, Surge and other companies, it can further serve the local operator market and industry market, and gradually grow stronger and stronger, using China Huaxin's technologies and solutions to help the development of Indonesia's national digitalization strategy.
